Dominion Womens Health: There are two Certified Nurse-Midwives who deliver at Memorial Regional Medical Center and have privileges at other area hospitals as well.

Midwifery at Henrico Doctors' Hospital: An experienced team of hospitalist certified nurse-midwives are available to provide high-touch, low-tech labor and delivery care.  You see your care provider for prenatal care.

Richmond OB-GYN: Certified Nurse-Midwives deliver at St. Mary’s Hospital.

The Woman's Center: Certified Nurse-Midwives delivering at St. Francis Hospital.

VCU Health Midwives:  Certified Nurse-Midwives at Nelson Clinic or Stony Point deliver at VCU Medical Center.

Needs Based Care

Richmond City Health Department: Clinical Services including prenatal care are available to the insured, uninsured and underinsured residents as well as the general public.

Richmond Healthy Start Initiative: Dedicated to ensuring that low-income and disadvantaged women receive the services they need to support a healthy pregnancy, a healthy birth, and a healthy baby.

Urban Baby Beginnings: This organization strives to decrease infant morbidity rates for families in crisis through prenatal support and education.

Birthing from Within with Cat Sears: You will learn coping techniques for the intensity of labor, use art to explore the unpredictability and surprising aspects of birth, and prepare for your baby with a fun, multi-sensory class that explores birth as a rite of passage.

Hypnobirthing with Joy Kraynak:  A tried and proven method that guides and prepares a woman in giving birth in a peaceful and extraordinarily beautiful manner.

Lamaze Certified Education with Open Arms Birth Collective:  This class covers the basics of labor and birth, coping and comfort measures, birth plans, interventions, non-medical alternatives to interventions, pregnancy self-care, breastfeeding, newborn care, and planning for the postpartum period.

Lamaze Classes with Kathy Stewart of Full Circle Childbirth Consultants: While Full Circle Lamaze reviews current developments in birthing, medical options and the various alternatives available during and after the birth experience, it will also provide couples with anatomy and physiology review, discusses stages of labor-physical and emotional support during each phase, hands-on comfort measures including relaxation, interventions, C-Birth and postpartum information for the hospital and for the first month at home.
